The S & H department of
Veltech High-tech Dr.RR Dr.SR engineering college
has dynamic, energetic and well qualified staff
members. The Science and humanities involves the
Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English departments.
Physics may be considered as a study of the basic
regularities behind the various complex phenomena in
the physical world; its objects range from the
tiniest like quarks in a proton to the largest like
the universe of which our solar system is a minute
part, and from systems as simple as free particles
to those as complex as typhoons in our atmosphere.
It is the goal of the endeavor of the Department of
Physics to contribute to the understanding and
applications of the fascinating facets of nature,
and to offer a solid and attractive curriculum to
our inquiring youth. The S&H department also has
well equipped labs with all recent facilities.
Faculty of physics department is outshining in R & D
field. They have presented 9 papers for the research
work. Also the chemistry department has also become
the part of the research field by presenting 2
papers. |

INFRASTRUCTURE |
|
Physics Laboratory and
Chemistry Laboratory are well equipped and
maintained properly. At a time 31 students can be
accommodated to perform the experiments as
prescribed by Anna University Curriculum. The lab
is equipped with the modern devices to perform all
types of experiments related. The labs of physics
and chemistry cover all basic needs and have
sufficient work space accommodating enough
students with well ventilation. There are 13 work
tables and 1 round table. All apparatus required
for the experiments are updated and are available
at any time for the students to work out. |
