DEPARTMENT PROFILE |

The Department of
Computer Science and Engineering was established in
the year 2005 with initial intake of 60 students and
it is now increased to 120 students. The Department
is fully equipped with high quality laboratories.
The Department consists of 24 dedicated and highly
qualified faculty members. The laboratories are
updated with recent Technological software and
highly configured systems, which enable to provide
quality education. The Department motivate their
Staff as well as Students to participate in various
National and International Conferences. Our
Department Staffs and Students have memberships in
various Associations. We conduct several faculty
Development Progarmes( FDP), Guest Lecturers and
Symposium, Staff Development Programmes (SDP) for
the benefit of students and Staffs related to the
subjects as well as with the new and emerging
concepts by area experts. |

In order to improve the
academic performance of the students, Unit test of
three hours is being conducted every month. The
progress of the students is being monitored
periodically and the performance of the ward is
being intimated to their parents through post
regularly.

MID-SEMESTER
ASSIGNMENT |
|
Mid-Semester
Examinations are conducted after covering
50% of the syllabus. The question papers are
being prepared as per Anna University Norms.

MODEL EXAMINATIONS |

Model
examinations are conducted after the
completion of the syllabus & a review is
carried out subsequently. |

GUEST LECTURE |
|
The Institution
at the end of a major portion of the syllabi
invites a senior Professor, or a Research
scholar from institutions. |

INDUSTRIAL VISIT |
|
The Industrial
visit enables the students come Face to Face
with the challenges of an industrial
environment and update themselves on various
technical activities. |

MINI PROJECT |
|
All the Second
and Third Year Students should submit a Mini
Project, which is relevant to their subject. |
|
FINAL YEAR PROJECT |
|
Final Year
Students will be undergoing a Project work
as a part of their curriculum. |
|
PLACEMENT |
|
The objective of
the placement cell is to train and provide
employment opportunities to all aspiring
final Year Students in reputed
organizations. The placement cell identifies
the industrial requirement and trains the
student in areas such as group discussions,
mock interview, aptitude test, personality
development programs. ost of our final year
students are placed in reputed companies
like TCS, INFOSYS, CTS, EDS, HCL, HP, and
L&T. |

PROJECT REVIEW |
|
Normally four
Reviews will be conducted for final year
students’ project work. External advisors
are appointed from various industries to
conduct project review. First review will be
conducted for10 Marks. Second review will be
conducted for 20 Marks. Third review will be
conducted for 30 Marks. Final Review will be
conducted for 40 Marks. |

Development Project proposals are to be made
by the faculty members. |
